<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">PATNA: The final year BEd students stole the day with their enchanted voice and wonderful dance performance at the annual cultural function and prize distribution ceremony of Women’s Training College (WTC) here on Saturday.<br /><br />Talking about the importance of the institute, Patna University vice-chancellor K K Jha, who was the chief guest on the occasion, said, "As per the high court orders, one is required to be a BEd for being eligible for the post of teacher.<br /><br />WTC has played a good role and contributed significantly in this field." He further added, "I would provide all possible financial support to WTC to help improve its infrastructure and impart quality education."<br /><br />He also encouraged the students to participate in cultural activities as it enhances one’s personality.<br /><br />The programme concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners of the annual sports.
<br /><br />The first prize winners of various events were, Tripti Verma (discus), Karuna Kumari (javelin), Punam Kumari (spoon and marble), Norin Alfred (needle and thread), Anjana Rani (long jump, 100 mt, 200 mt), Devlina Singh (badminton singles), Rakhi and Deepty Sapna (badminton doubles), Babita Kumari (carom single), Afreen and Babita Kumari (carom doubles). <br /><br />The overall championship award was bagged by Anjana Rani.<br /><br /><formid=526372></formid=526372></div> </div>
