PATNA: The Bihar legislative council witnessed uproarious scenes on Tuesday over the issue of looting of Bihari passengers by over a dozen armed criminals in the general bogie of Kurla-Rajendra Nagar Superfast Express between Kalyan and Satara stations on Saturday night.
Amidst noisy scenes, the RJD leaders during zero hour demanded that the Bihar government should send an all-party delegation to meet the Prime Minister as well as the Maharashtra chief minister for resolving the on-going crisis.Raising the matter during zero hour, RJD member Bhim Singh drew the attention of the House towards the looting of Bihari passengers at gun-point by dozens of armed criminals in the general bogie of Kurla-Rajendra Nagar Express.

He also said this matter is very sensitive and the government should take serious note of it. Several members, including Kedar Pandey (CPI), Sanjay Singh (LJP), Basudeo Singh (CPM), Mundrika Singh Yadav, Nagendra Prasad Singh and Nawal K Yadav (all RJD), Mahachandra Prasad Singh and Chandan Bagchi (both Congress) supported Bhim Singh���s stand. Sensing the gravity of the situation, acting chairman of the council Arun Kumar said the matter is extremely sensitive. "We have to ensure that no retaliatory action is taken in Bihar," he said. Kumar also supported the opposition parties��� suggestion for sending a delegation to New Delhi and Maharashtra.
Health minister Chandra Mohan Rai���s statement on the adverse remarks made by some opposition members against Bihar governor R S Gavai in the state assembly on February 22 forced the opposition members to enter the well of the House during zero hour. Shouting slogan of "Bal Thackeray ko arrest karo" opposition members entered the well of the House. The acting chairman tried to pacify opposition members and consequently adjourned the House till lunch recess. Earlier in the morning, RJD member Ghulam Gaus raised this matter as soon as the House assembled for the question hour along with some members, including Mundrika Singh Yadav and Bhim Singh (both RJD).
The allegations and counter allegations by the treasury and opposition members disrupted the proceedings of the House for nearly five minutes.
