PATNA: Show-cause notices have been slapped on two probationary sub-inspectors (PSIs) of Rajiv Nagar police station, Kumarendra and Rajiv, for their alleged involvement in roughing up a security guard associated with Sri Krishna Puri Park under S K Puri police station on June 8.
Patna Senior SP Alok Kumar had earlier directed DSP (Law & Order) L M Sharma to carry out a probe into the incident and submit a report after the security guard narrated the incident before the police officials of SK Puri police station.

Sharma on Saturday told TOI that he had served show-cause notices on the two PSIs, giving them three days to reply to the charges against them.
Security guard Sanjay Kumar said that on June 7, both the PSIs of Rajiv Nagar police station along with another PSI posted with SK Puri police station reached the park on their motorcycles. "As construction work was going on inside the park, entry had been banned for the visitors from June 5 to June 11," the guard said and added that a notice had been pasted on the entrance in this connection.
Sanjay further said that since two of the PSIs were not in uniform, he failed to recognize them and allowed only the PSI who was in police uniform to enter the park. "This infuriated the two PSIs and they threatened me with dire consequences," the security guard said and added that both the PSIs returned on June 8 in uniform and abused him. "They slapped me. Blood started oozing out from my mouth," alleged the security guard and added that the two PSIs also tore the notice displayed on the entrance before leaving.
