Two more PACS heads held for misuse of funds

district were arrested on Thursday for misappropriation of funds received for procurement of paddy in their respective areas in 2016-17.

While Sah was arrested for not procuring 569.23 quintal paddy and embezzling Rs. 8.45 lakh meant for purchasing the same, Yadav also embezzled Rs 8.5 lakh received for purchase of 572.44 quintal of paddy. With the two arrests, the total number of PACS heads arrested is five in Darbhanga district alone. On October 13 last, three PACS heads—Bijay Kumar Singh, Ravindra Kumar Singh and Satish Kumar Roy of

Hariharpur east

panchayat under Singhwara block; Dhadhia panchayat under Kamtaul police station area and Dekuli Jagannathpur under Biraul block were arrested for misappropriation of Rs 55.13lakh meant for procurement of paddy.
