PATNA: The police have arrested two persons on Friday in the case relating to a woman’s death on Thursday. She lived in the Chandmari road area under the Kankarbagh police station.

PATNA: The police have arrested two persons on Friday in the case relating to a woman’s death on Thursday. She lived in the Chandmari road area under the Kankarbagh police station.
The deceased Shanti alias Urmila alias Rekha has been identified as the “second wife� of one Munna Pandey, a native of Nalanda district.
Her body was recovered from a house in Chandmari road owned by one Madhavi Verma by the police on Thursday.

Patna range DIG A C Verma said the two arrested included Munna’s mother Devanti Devi and his brother Prem Pandey.
Verma made it clear that it was an overdose of sulphas that led to her end. “Circumstantial evidence force us to believe that she was murdered. There is someone who stands to gain by her death�. Verma, however, did not rule out the possibility of suicide.
The possibility of rape is not ruled out. During investigation, the police found that Munna was enjoying an extra-marital relation with the victim. a security guard of an apartment, he resided with his family in Ashok Nagar area under the Kankarbagh police station. He used to regularly visit her. All her goods had been removed from her room before she died.
