Two die in separate Buxar accidents
Buxar: Two people died in separate road accidents in the district on Tuesday.In the first incident, a 43-year-old woman, Neetu Kumari, lost her life in a car accident on Ara-Buxar highway near Ramgarh under Brahampur police station area of the district. Her husband, Vineet Kumar, and their son, Devansh Patel, were seriously injured in the accident.Vineet, an assistant manager with Union Bank of India in Ghazipur (UP), was travelling to Patna with his family to observe Ambedkar Jayanti. Police said the car went out of control near Ramgarh due to overspeeding, hit the divider, and overturned. The impact left the vehicle badly damaged, and Neetu died on the spot.Locals rushed to help and they pulled out the injured, and sent them to the community health centre, Brahmpur, where both the injured are undergoing treatment. Police have seized the vehicle and sent the body for the postmortem.In another incident near Manjhwari village More under Simri police station area, a speeding truck ran over a motorcyclist, killing him on the spot. The deceased was identified as 25-year-old Ali Hussain, a resident of Takia Mohalla in Simri Dudhipatti. He was returning from his elder brother’s wedding in Gajrajganj, Ara. A pillion rider on the motorcycle sustained minor injuries.
Eyewitnesses said the truck coming from the opposite direction hit the motorcycle, throwing Ali Hussain onto the road and leaving him critically injured. He was taken to Sadar Hospital Buxar where doctors declared him dead.Simri SHO Jyoti Kumari said the truck has been seized and legal action is being taken against the driver.
