Two die in Aurangabad road accident

Aurangabad: Two persons – Tej Narayan Gupta (50) and Vikas Kumar Chauhan (32) – were killed and six injured in a road accident in Aurangabad district on Thursday. Around 6pm, an SUV rammed into a truck ahead near Deo Mor on the Grand Trunk Road. The occupants were returning to Dhanbad after attending a wedding in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. Police said the driver allegedly dozed off. Two persons died on the spot and six sustained serious injuries.Sub-divisional police officer Sanjay Kumar Pandey confirmed the incident. The injured were first admitted to Sadar hospital and later referred to higher centres. Police said a crane was used to extricate the bodies from the mangled vehicle.
