Two arrested in Ara shooting case
Ara: Police on Friday arrested two of the three named accused in connection with the shooting of a 25-year-old man on the eve of Holi at Bheldumra village under Ara Mufassil police station in Bhojpur district. One of the accused had already surrendered before the Ara court under police pressure.According to police, the arrested men were identified as Ujjwal Kumar, son of Manoj Kumar Singh, and Pintu Sharma, son of Virendra Sharma, both residents of Badkadumra village. Police seized two country-made pistols and 10 live cartridges from their possession.Mufassil SHO Ramkalyan Yadav said the victim, Aadarsh Anand (25), was shot on March 3 while sitting at a kirana shop in Bheldumra village, where he has been living at his maternal grandmother’s house since childhood. He sustained a bullet injury to his stomach and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Ara, he added.Police said the incident stemmed from an altercation with the accused youths.
