Truck overturns, crushes autorickshaw in Bihar; CISF jawan, wife among 3 dead

NEW DELHI: Three people, including a CISF jawan, were killed on Thursday after a truck loaded with stone chips overturned and crushed an autorickshaw in Khagaria district, police said.The accident took place near Gauchhari village under Maheshkhunt police station limits when the driver reportedly lost control and the truck toppled onto its side, trapping the auto beneath it, a senior officer said.The deceased were identified as CISF personnel Bipin Chaurasia, his wife Deepmala Chaurasia, and autorickshaw driver Tankesh Muni, Superintendent of Police Rakesh Kumar said.The bodies have been sent to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem, he added.Officials said Chaurasia, who was on leave, was heading to the railway station with his wife to return to duty when the accident occurred.(With agency inputs)
