Top Magadh transporter murdered

GAYA: Jai Prakash Singh, a big transporter of Magadh region owning dozens of buses, was killed and his body dumped in the fields near Burma village under Cherki police station area in Gaya district, about 125km from the state capital. The transporter left his AP Colony residence here on Sunday evening on his bike.
He did not return home and his body bearing two bullet marks in the chest and the temple was recovered from the fields on Monday morning.The killers also took away the transporter’s bike, mobile phone and other valuables. The family members have named four persons, all of them business rivals of the slain transporter, as the accused. The transporter’s autopsy was conducted at Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital, Gaya and the body sent to his village Daha in the neighbouring Aurangabad district. City SP Chandan Kushwaha said the role of the business rivals of the slain transporter was being examined.
