Top cricketers coming to city

PATNA: Indian cricket players, including Virender Sehwag, Suresh Raina, Gautam Gambhir, Md Kaif, R P Singh, Sree Santh, Ajay Jadeja and Vinod Kambli are scheduled to participate in a three-day Front Line-Aircel T-20 Cricket match starting from January 17 at Moinul Haq Stadium. The match is being played under the aegis of the Association of Bihar Cricket (ABC).
Chairman of the organising committee G S Dutt, IAS, and director general of BIPARD, IG (security) Gupteshwar Pandey, IPS, and secretary of ABC Mithilesh Tiwari, in a joint press conference, said that preparations for the match are in final stages.The play on January 18 and 19 would be telecast live by Doordarshan, they said and added that so far, 17 Indian players have given their consent for their participation.
There would be three categories of tickets -- Rs 1,000, Rs 500 and Rs 1,000. These are on sale at 10 different branches of Punjab National Bank (PNB). They are Boring Canal Road, Buddha Colony, Raja Bazar, Danapur, New Market, Gandhi Maidan, Patna City, Gandhi Nagar, Exhibition Road and Kankerbagh.
