'Came for children’s education': 16-year-old boy stabbed to death in Bihar; recently passed matric exam

CHHAPRA: One Amit Srivastava (16), son of Raju Srivastava, resident of Kamta village under Baniapur PS in Saran district, was stabbed to death on Tuesday near Sidhi Ghat under Chhapra Town PS area. Amit had recently passed the matriculation examination.

Amit lived in a rented house on Mission Road with his family for study purposes. Amit's father said miscreants stabbed his son while he had gone out to purchase vegetables. "He came to Chhapra for the study of his children. Amit was a bright student and he had passed matriculation this year and was to take admission in Intermediate," he said.

Police said the reason for the killing is not known yet.

After the incident, the Town police rushed to the spot and sent the body for postmortem. Town SHO, Sanjiv Kumar, police are scanning CCTV footage and call details of the deceased to know the reason for the killing. Forensic team has also started a probe into the incident.
