Teamwork, regular assessment vital for strengthening ‘Nipun’: Experts
Buxar: Headmasters of govt middle schools, nominated class II teachers, and two trainee students from 10 schools of Dumraon participated in a one-day capacity-building and review meeting at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Dumraon, on Saturday. The programme focused on strengthening the implementation of the Nipun Bharat Mission and developing Nipun Vidyalayas in the region.
Addressing the participants, vice-principal Navneet Kumar Singh said the success of the Nipun Bharat Mission depends on teachers’ commitment, continuous academic support and teaching based on children’s learning levels. He emphasised activity-based classroom practices and continuous assessment to improve foundational skills.
Bhupendra Singh Yadav, teacher, DIET, stressed the need to prioritise Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) in schools. He highlighted regular practice, target-setting and consistent monitoring as key factors. He described teamwork at the school level as essential to achieving mission goals.
A detailed review of progress made by DIET-affiliated lab schools in achieving Nipun goals was conducted during the meeting. Teaching methods, student learning outcomes, evaluation processes and innovative practices were discussed. Participants were guided on addressing implementation challenges.
