Teacher alleges Rs15L fraud, sexual exploitation
Gaya: A woman teacher posted at a govt school has accused three people, including a fellow teacher, of cheating her out of nearly Rs 15 lakh and sexually exploiting her on the pretext of helping her become an MLC from the teachers’ constituency.
An FIR was registered at Kotwali police station on Sunday against Prakash, Gangaram and Krishna, all residents of Buxar district.
According to the complaint, the woman came in contact with Prakash, a teacher, who allegedly added her to a WhatsApp group and claimed to have links with influential people who could help her secure an MLC seat.
The complainant alleged that she was called to attend a meeting in Varanasi in Feb 2024, where she was served a soft drink allegedly laced with a toxic substance. She claimed that after losing consciousness, she was sexually assaulted by the accused, who also recorded a video of the incident.
The woman further alleged that the accused repeatedly demanded money from her and threatened to circulate the video if she refused to comply. She claimed that she paid nearly Rs 15 lakh over a period of time.
Kotwali station house officer Dhananjay Kumar Singh said, “A case has been registered under relevant sections. Further action will be taken on the basis of evidence collected during the investigation.”
