PATNA:
Bihar deputy CM and senior BJP functionary
Sushil Kumar Modi on Saturday took a dig at the infighting in Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC).
“It was a show strength organised by a politician eyeing the post of BPCC chief,” Modi said about the function organised by Shri Krishna Jayanti Samaroh Samiti to mark the birth anniversary of Bihar’s first CM Shri Krishna Singh.
Former Union minister Akhilesh Prasad Singh is the chairman of the Samiti.
RJD president Lalu Prasad and several Congress functionaries attended the function organised by it.
SuMo was speaking at another function organised by HAM-S to mark the occasion. Several NDA functionaries attended this function.
“Congress and RJD chief Lalu Prasad have together maligned Shri Krishna Babu. He was CM of Bihar for 15 years, but his party Congress shattered his dreams of prosperous Bihar. Several key initiatives like Barauni fertiliser plant and Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited plant at Ranchi were shut during the Congress and RJD regimes later,” SuMo said.
HAM-S president and former Bihar CM Jitan Ram Manjhi hailed the late CM for his decisions aimed at uplift of socially backward classes. “I remember a temple was washed after my I visited it even though I was the CM. Shri Krishna Babu, on the other hand, had taken scheduled caste people inside the Baba Baidyanath Dham temple at Deoghar,” Manjhi said.
