Sumit re-electedstate NSUI chief

Sumit Kumar, 24, a student of Patliputra Industrial Training Institute, Gola Road, Danapur, was on Thursday re-elected as state president of National Students Union of India (NSUI) for the second consecutive term.

PATNA: Sumit Kumar, 24, a student of Patliputra Industrial Training Institute, Gola Road, Danapur, was on Thursday re-elected as state president of National Students Union of India (NSUI) for the second consecutive term. He will remain state president for the next two years.
Sumit secured 276 votes in an election conducted by the NSUI Election Authority on Thursday while his nearest rival Asif Iqbal got 144 votes, followed by Prabhakar Kumar with 76 votes.

As per the organization's rules, Asif and Prabhakar were declared elected for the two posts of state vice-president.
As per the election results posted on the NSUI official website on Friday, Rohit Kumar (118 votes), Prabhat Kumar (81), Manish Kumar (66), Shahid Hussain (60), Dharmendra Kumar (24) and Birendra Kumar (9) were declared elected for the six posts of state general secretary.
Similarly, Ravi Ranjan Choudhary, Khushboo Kumari, Aslam Azad, Rakesh Bhatia, Dhiraj Kumar Jha and Priyanka Anand Bhagat were declared elected for the six posts of state secretary, while Nishan Kumar, Azad Alam, Raju Kumar and Mona Alisha Haque were elected national delegates.
