Students clean Ganga ghats
Students of Sir G D Pataliputra Inter Vidyalaya also took up the task of cleaning the ghats on Thursday.
In their four-hour cleaning spree, the students enthusiastically removed polythene bags, waste papers, grass and other garbage from many ghats.
The school's principal, Ramchandra Prasad Singh, motivated his students saying they have taken up a great social responsibility.
Residents of areas adjoining the ghats have become cautious with waste disposal. "Chhath Puja is something everybody reveres. We are keeping our area clean," said Ashish of Rajapur.
