on Monday urged teachers to take advantage of technology-based knowledge for their professional growth.

Inaugurating the 74th orientation course organized by the university’s Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) at Patna Training College, the VC said, “Higher education system will develop in Bihar only when there are more and more professionally qualified and trained teachers.”

Earlier, HRDC director Chandrama Singh welcomed the guests and highlighted the details of activities being carried out by the centre. Patna Training College principal Khagendra Kumar and HRDC deputy director also spoke on the occasion.

said, “The Union Budget neglected health and education sectors completely and created regional imbalance.”

While Bihar Bhoodan Yagna Committee chairman Shubhmurty criticized the Budget for not following the “Gandhian principles”, women’s studies department head Padmalata Thakur said there was no special facility for women in the Budget.

director Gregor Lang-Wojpasik, PMIR department head Sharad Prawal, ASA secretary Anil Kumar Ray and PU sociology department head R N Sharma also expressed their views on the Budget.
