PATNA: The golden jubilee celebrations of Notre Dame Academy, beginning on February 2, will have an element of glamour too with the alumni association of the city's premier school for girls organizing a musical extravaganza, `Fantasians 2009', as part of the celebrations on February 7.
"School and inter-school functions will be held throughout the year, and the concluding function will be held on February 2, 2010," school principal Sr Mary Tessy told a press conference on the school campus on Friday.
The convenor of the alumni association, Ms Anupam Singh, said several celebrities will perform at the February 7 mega event to be held in the open air theatre of Bharatiya Nritya Kala Mandir. "They will include Bollywood star Neetu Chandra, who is an ex-student of the school," she said, adding other star performers will be rap singer Baba Sehgal, Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa finalists Sumedha and Harpreet and mimicry artist Sanjay Kenny.
"The proceedings from the sale of tickets will be used for developing infrastructure of the computer lab of the high school section," Singh said and added the local administration has assured all help to the alumni association for organizing the show.
