St Joseph's pupils win swimming contest


Patna: St Joseph's School walked away with the championship while Delhi Public School-Patna and Notre Dame Academy were declared the first and second runners-up at the 10th inter-school Molly Galstaun Swimming Competition organised by the All India Anglo-Indian Association's Patna branch on Tuesday.

About 150 students from more than 10 city schools such as

St Michael

's High School, Don Bosco Academy, International School, St Karen's Secondary School and Radiant International School, took part in the event hosted at St Dominic Savio's High School on the occasion of World Anglo-Indian Day.

The students, who walked away with the laurels, in different categories were: Vallabh Vibhu, Rakesh Kumar, Seethong, Shambhavi Bhushan, Anoushka Choudhary, Samriddhi Singh, Avani Garg, Tamanna Ghai, Sonakshi Sahay, Vaibhavi Gupta, Vaishnavi Singh, Rishabh Kumar, Akshay Kumar and Yashraj Singh. Workshop: More than 150 students from Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) and National Institute of Fashion Technology (

)-Patna took part in a two-day workshop on "Entrepreneurship", which concluded on the CIMP campus on Wednesday.

The workshop, organised by CIMP in collaboration with Leadership Entrepreneurship and Attitude Development, aimed at making youngsters aware of the different dimensions and steps to follow before becoming an entrepreneur. It included lectures and presentations by experts, who showcased the various value-added products that can help interested students become successful entrepreneurs.

Some of the concepts of the discussion included "Transformation of industrial area", "Changing traditional mindsets", "Finding first customers" and "Scope in Bihar". The experts told the students the difference between a general employer and a leader, saying "leadership is about getting people to understand and believe in your vision to achieve the organizational goals while managing is more about administering." CIMP director V Mukund Das was also present on the occasion.

Induction meet: The new batch of MBA students of A N College participated in an induction programme held on the college campus on Wednesday. The students were told about the course structure as well as the rules and regulations of the college. Aryabhatta Knowledge University VC S P Singh, college principal Bihari Singh and professor incharge of MBA programme Poornima Shekhar Singh were also present on the occasion.
