Patna schools organise annual events; festive spirit marks gatherings
Patna: St Joseph’s Convent High School buzzed with nostalgia and joy on Sunday as the Alumnae Association of Josephites (AAJ) hosted its annual meet under the theme “Melody of Memories”. Principal Sr Josephine, along with the senior-most alumnae, lit the traditional lamp to inaugurate the programme.
The 1975 and 2000 batches were felicitated with gold and silver stars to mark their jubilee years. Ranjana Thakur of the 1971 batch was conferred the Most Committed Alumna of 2025 award. Distinguished alumnae, including Bihar’s first woman IPS officer Manjari Jaruhar, inspired the gathering with their presence. Cultural performances featuring music and dance, interactive games, a ramp walk by different batches and shared meals strengthened bonds and camaraderie among former students.
X-mas celebration: Carmel High School celebrated Christmas with deep spiritual fervour. Organised by Class VI students, the programme opened with a prayer service expressing devotion and gratitude to Lord Jesus. A prayer dance spread a message of peace, followed by a play on the birth of Jesus Christ highlighting love, sacrifice and humanity. Christmas carols filled the air, while the arrival of Santa Claus delighted the audience and led to a vibrant collective finale. Principal Sr Mridula described Christmas as a festival of love, forgiveness and service, urging students to spread peace and goodwill.

Mementos were presented to graduating students as a mark of remembrance. Performances by junior students added colour to the event, while the ‘Dance Drama’ choir energised the gathering. A presentation showcasing academic milestones evoked fond memories. Principal Rev Bro Johnson V George addressed the students, offering guidance for their future journeys.
Fancy dress competition: Students from Nursery to Class V of International School impressed the audience with colourful performances based on themes such as Save Water, Mother India, Artificial Intelligence, Harry Potter, Save Girl Child and Respect Women.
