Speaker, BJP netas pay tributes to Deendayal
Patna: Legislative assembly Speaker Prem Kumar on Wednesday paid tribute to the pioneer of Antyodaya and the founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, on his death anniversary observed as ‘Samarpan Diwas’.
BJP leaders, including deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha, BJP state president Sanjay Saraogi, general secretary (organisation) Bhikhubhai Dalsania and regional organisation general secretary Nagendra Nath Tripathi among others also paid tribute to Upadhyay by garlanding his statue at the BJP state office in Patna.
The Speaker said Pandit Deendayal’s entire life was dedicated to the nation and society. His vision of uplifting the last person in society through ‘Antyodaya’ remains the foundation of policy and governance even today. His concept of “Ekatm Manavvad” is not merely a political philosophy, but an idea of holistic development based on Indian culture and life values, he said.
He said Pandit Deendayal believed that true progress is incomplete until the benefits of development reach the last person in society. “Today, it is necessary to embrace his principles and work with service, dedication, and national interest as paramount. ‘Samarpan Diwas’ gives us an opportunity to pledge to contribute to building the India of his dreams by following the path of social harmony, self-reliance, and good governance,” he said.
