Shreyashi lifts ‘Athletic Championship Trophy’

While students of Red House bagged the ‘Overall Championship Trophy’ and declared the ‘Best March Past Team’, Blue House was the runner-up. The theme of the sports meet was ‘Every Season Has A Beautiful Reason’.
ADG of police (special branch) Jitendra Singh Gangwar, who was the chief guest at the event, urged the students not to give up and try to achieve success.
At least 1,200 students took part in different activities like cycling, pyramid formation, 100m, 200m and 400m races, relay race, sack race, spoon and marble races, among others.
Don Bosco Primary School: Don Bosco Primary School organized its annual Sports Day function on the campus of Don Bosco Academy in Digha on Saturday.
The event began with a march past by Class III students. ‘Bee and flower drill’ by tiny tots of LKG was liked by all and ‘Spanish drill’ added a Latin touch to the programme. The highlight of the event were ‘pom-pom drill’, ‘elastic drill’, ‘umbrella drill’, aerobics and ‘hoop drill’.
School staff and parents of the students participated in a relay race and tug of war.
School vice-principal Veronica deRozario thanked the students, parents and teachers for their support and participation.
St Xavier’s High School: Class X students Shristi Anand and Akshit Kumar received the Xavier medal from principal Fr Christu Savarirajan SJ at the Annual Day function of St Xavier’s High School on Saturday.
The event was inaugurated by deputy development commissioner Aditya Prakash (chief guest) and Patna University English department head Shankar Dutt (guest of honour). Students welcomed the guests with a prayer dance which was followed by a folk dance of Bihar.
A musical drama ‘Jagao Mera Desh’, based on Rabindranath Tagore’s poem ‘Where the Mind is Without Fear’, was appreciated by the audience.
NIFT-P: Altogether 100 students from different city schools and colleges participated in a counselling session called ‘Open House’ at National Institute of Fashion Technology-Patna (NIFT-P) on Saturday.
Faculty members of six departments — Fashion Management Studies, Fashion Design, Textile Design, Fashion and Lifestyle Accessories, Fashion Communication and Bachelor of Fashion Technology — talked about the scope of various courses being offered by the institute at the graduate and postgraduate levels.
NIFT-P students also put up an exhibition showcasing apparels and accessories designed by them on the occasion.
