Sanjay Kumar gets water resources department, Shyam Rajak industries

PATNA: Hours after their induction in the state cabinet on Sunday, governor

, on the advice of CM Nitish Kumar, allotted departments among the eight new ministers.


Narendra Narayan Yadav will look after minor water resources and law department while Shyam Rajak has been made industries department minister. Ashok Choudhary has been allotted building construction department, Bima Bharti sugar cane industries, Sanjay Kumar Jha water resources department, Ram Sewak Singh social welfare department Lakshmeshwar Rai disaster management department and Neeraj Kumar has been made information and public relations department minister.

The portfolios of some of the ministers have also been changed. Jai Kumar Singh will now be minister of science and technology department while

has been given planning and development. Pramod Kumar has been made art, culture and youth department minister while Vinod Kumar Singh has been shifted to backward classes and extremely backward classes welfare department and Krishna Kumar Rishi to tourism. Braj Kishore Bind is now minister of mines and geology department. Agriculture minister Prem Kumar has been given additional charge of animal and fisheries resources department.
