Rs 3.74 lakh looted from Muzaffarpur SBI recovered
PATNA: One Rajkapoor Sah (25) was arrested on Sunday while a joint team of
Muzaffarpur SSP Harpreet Kaur said Sah, along with his gang members, was also involved in Rs10 lakh loot from Union Bank of India branch at Baidnathpur under the Mahua police station area in Vaishali district on May 14. She said a country-made pistol and two live cartridges were also recovered from Sah’s possession.
“Sah named 12 gang members involved in the two bank loots and other crimes,” she said, adding further interrogation were on.
Kartaha SHO Lal Bahadur said Rs2.44 lakh was recovered from Sah’s residence while Rs50,000 each were recovered from the residence of Pankaj Pandit and Dhapki under the Sadar police station area in Vaishali. “Rs30,000 was recovered from the residence of Shivji Paswan at Bhatoli Bhagwan under the Kartaha police station area. Apart from the two bank loots, the gang had also looted around Rs4 lakh from a bike showroom at Bhagwanpur in Vaishali on May 9,” Bahadur said.
He that Sah was released from Hajipur district jail on bail a month back. “He was in jail for drug smuggling and possessing illegal firearms,” Bahadur said.
