Patna: Apollo Hospitals Chennai, in collaboration with Mediversal Hospital, Patna on Wednesday highlighted advances in robotic-assisted surgery at a programme here.
The event focused on the increasing use of robotic surgery across multiple specialities and its role in improving precision, clinical outcomes and patient recovery. Dr Gautham Krishnamurthy, senior consultant in Surgical Gastroenterology, GI and HPB Oncology at Apollo Hospitals Chennai, addressed the gathering and outlined the growing clinical effectiveness of robotic-assisted procedures in complex surgeries.
“Robotic-assisted surgery is redefining surgical care across specialities. With enhanced precision, improved visualisation and greater control, surgeons are able to perform complex procedures more effectively. For patients, this translates into less pain, reduced complications and quicker recovery. Through its collaboration with Mediversal Hospital Patna, Apollo Hospitals Chennai plans to improve access for patients in Bihar to specialised consultations, advanced surgical expertise and comprehensive treatment planning closer to home.
