PATNA: The RJD will hold a three-day training camp for its MPs, MLAs and other leaders next month to evolve ways to take on ‘communalism’ in the wake of the victory of the BJP in Gujarat. This was stated at a press conference addressed by RJD MLC Ram Kripal Yadav here on Wednesday.
He stated that the RJD chief will address public meetings in all districts to create awareness among the people about the ‘evil designs’ of the BJP to whip up communal passions in its bid to replicate the Gujarat experiment.
Yadav stated that the BJP national executive’s stand on replicating the Gujarat experiment elsewhere in the country was an unfortunate incident and sent danger signals to the nation. “The BJP is now even prepared to take off the mask it had wore in the form of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, stated Yadav, adding that his party was ready to accept the challenge thrown by the BJP.
He questioned the theory of “composite nationalism advocated by the Sangh Parivar and stressed that it amounted to Talibanisation of Hinduism. Stressing that India stood for unity among diversity, he alleged that the Sangh Parivar wished to impose a code of conduct on the minorities of the country. He stressed that even the allies of the BJP like Sharad Yadav and Jayalalithaa were alarmed by its stress on the ‘Gujarat experiment’.
