RJD synonymous with ‘jungle raj’: JD(U)
Bettiah: JD(U) state president Umesh Kushwaha on Saturday launched a sharp attack on the RJD, alleging that its past rule would forever be remembered for "promoting jungle raj in Bihar." Addressing an NDA workers' conference at Baba Bhootnath College ground in Bagaha, West Champaran, Kushwaha accused the RJD of being synonymous with corruption. "RJD means corruption saddled in every pore and the architect of jungle raj. Lalu-Rabari did nothing for the development and strengthening of Bihar's rural economy. Bihar witnessed murders, abduction and fodder scam, during their regime," he said. Kushwaha contrasted that period with the governance of CM Nitish Kumar. "During Nitish Kumar's tenure, roads, electricity and tap water have reached every village. Look at the development works of CM Nitish Kumar, who has taken Bihar to the peak of development," he said. He added that PM Narendra Modi at the Centre and Nitish Kumar in Bihar were "writing a new dimension of development." "The PM has set a big example of making India self-reliant," Kushwaha said, predicting that the NDA would once again form the govt with a "thumping majority." Valmiki Nagar MLA Dhirendra Pratap Singh, MLC Bhishma Sahni and BJP district president Achint Kumar Lalla were among those present at the event.
