RJD seeks white paper on jobs, terms NDA claim ‘lie’
Patna: With the budget session under way, the RJD on Sunday demanded that the NDA govt release a white paper, on affidavit, detailing jobs provided and work opportunities created between 2005 and 2025.
The RJD rejected as “lies” the NDA’s claim that it had provided jobs and work opportunities to 50 lakh youths between 2020 and 2025. “The NDA leaders have been habitually claiming that their government gave 50 lakh jobs and work opportunities between 2020 and 2025, but it is a bland lie,” RJD state spokesperson Chitranjan Gagan said.
“If their claims are not to sound hollow, then they release a white paper giving department-wise specific details of the jobs given and work opportunities created, mentioning the names of the beneficiaries,” he said, adding that data on vacancies filled between 1990 and 2005 should also be made public.
Gagan claimed that during 1990-2005, regular appointments were made against vacancies, including lecturers, teachers, engineers and police personnel, and that 1.90 lakh Shiksha Mitras were appointed. He alleged that after 2005 recruitment shifted largely to contractual posts.
“It was under the Grand Alliance govt led by Nitish that the process for making regular appointments started under the pressure of deputy CM Tejashwi Prasad Yadav from 2022,” he said, claiming 4.30 lakh posts have since been filled.
Citing a CAG report tabled on 18 Dec 2025, he termed skilling claims “fake”.
Rejecting the charge, JD(U) chief spokesperson Neeraj Kumar said, “The appointments made under the NDA govt speak for themselves in every village and town of the state.”
