PATNA:
Rashtriya Janata Dal (
RJD) on Tuesday announced the names of its state office bearers, district presidents, general secretaries and heads of the party’s three wings.
Legislator Ranvijay Sahu has been appointed as the state principal general secretary of the party. The party has also announced the names of its 18 state vice-presidents and a treasurer. Mehtab Alam will continue as the Patna Mahanagar district president.
These office-bearers were appointed by the party’s state president Jagadanand Singh as per the instruction from RJD’s national president Lalu Prasad.
Their tenure will end in 2025. While Sahu has replaced Alok Mehta, who is now a cabinet minister, others on the list of vice-president are almost the same.
Among others, former MLC Tanveer Hasan, former cabinet ministers Brishen Patel, Ashok Kumar Singh, Shivchandra Ram and Suresh Paswan have been made state vice-presidents of the party.
Ritu Jaiswal has been made the women cell president of the party.
Ravishankar Kumar alias Rajesh Yadav will take over as the youth wing president of the RJD and Gagan Kumar as the student wing president of the party.
