RJD MLA Vibha Devi seeks action against erring ration dealers in Nawada

NAWADA: RJD MLA Vibha Devi, along with party's district functionaries and workers, sat on a dharna in front of the Nawada collectorate on Saturday, demanding action against erring ration dealers. She complained that the poor were denied of their ration by dealers in Rajauli sub-division and accused the Rajauli SDO of not paying heed to her written complaint, related to action against the erring dealers.

Vibha also slammed the RJD supported Grand Alliance government for giving senior bureaucrats a free hand. She said that following reports of many dealers siphoning off 20% of the requisite ration, besides not giving it timely to the ration card holders, she had written to the Rajauli SDO seeking action against such corrupt dealers, but in vein.

However, the Rajauli SDO Piyush Kumar claimed that he had not received any such letter from the MLA. The officer said he would not hesitate in tacking action against errant dealers as and when required.

"I have even suspended the licenses of a few erring dealers whenever allegations against them were found true," he added.
