Revenue and land reforms minister Dilip Kumar Jaiswal on Tuesday approved the disciplinary action, which includes dismissal from service, charge sheets, departmental proceedings and penalties.
Anjali Kumar Anand, former incharge assistant settlement officer of Samastipur, was dismissed from service. According to the department, she had remained unauthorisedly absent since July 2021 and failed to cooperate with departmental proceedings.
Action has also been initiated against Kumari Anchal, circle officer of Chhapra Sadar; Avinash Kumar, former circle officer of Bodh Gaya; Ravindra Kumar Chaupal, circle officer of Asthawan; Rakesh Kumar, additional district land acquisition officer of West Champaran; Gyanindra, former circle officer of Mokama; Kaushika Kumari, circle officer of Madhepur; Narayan Raja, circle officer of Hathua; Ram Kumar Raman, revenue officer of Gaya Sadar; and Sanjeev Kumar, assistant settlement officer of Gaya.
Under the departmental order, Kumari Anchal, Ravindra Kumar Chaupal and Rakesh Kumar have been censured, Avinash Kumar has been denied one annual increment on a non-cumulative basis and Kaushika Kumari has been issued a warning. Charges have been framed against Gyanindra, Narayan Raja and Sanjeev Kumar, while departmental proceedings will be initiated against Ram Kumar Raman.
“There is no room for corruption, irregularities, dereliction of duty, or negligence within the department. Strict action will continue to be taken against officials found guilty in matters concerning the public interest. The govt’s objective is to establish a transparent, accountable, and people-oriented revenue administration,” Jaiswal said.
The department has previously taken action against 32 circle officers and revenue officers. A recommendation was also recently made to dismiss revenue officer Soni Kumari. With the latest action, the number of officials facing departmental proceedings has risen to 42.
