Nitish Kumar's election meeting on Thursday was disturbed by a few supporters of 'rebel' BJP leader Mukesh Kumar Singh at Bariarpur, 12 km from Munger on Thursday.
As the JD(U) candidate from Munger constituency, Ananth Kumar Satyarthi, rose to address the meeting welcoming the cheif minister, supporters of Mukesh Kumar Singh started shouting slogans 'Satyarthi vapas jao' and 'Nitish Kumar zindabad'.
Findiing the situation somewhat awkward, the CM immediately rose and calmed down the slogan-shouters appealing them to be peaceful.
Mukesh Kumar Singh is contesting the election from Munger constituency as an Independent candidate.
Nitish, in his address, appealed to the audience to vote the NDA to power for at least five more years by voting for its candidates. He pleaded "Aapne chalis varsh tak Congress ko, pandrah varsh
RJD ko satta mein rahne ka mouka diya jinho ne koi vikas ka kaam nahin kiya, phir kya hamein paanch varsh aur mouka aap dena nahin chahenge? (You gave Congress forty years and RJD 15 years to rule Bihar even as they never delivered. Should not the NDA be given another five years."
Nitish said the progress of development works in the state has its impact even abroad.
