Patna: The railways diverted the route of four passenger trains on Wednesday due to the non-interlocking (NI) work being carried out on the Anpara-Karaila Road-Mirchadhuri section of the Dhanbad division under the East Central Railway (ECR).
According to the ECR’s chief public relations officer (CPRO) Birendra Kumar, the Jabalpur-Howrah Shaktipunj Express (11447) was diverted to South Katni-Prayagraj Chheoki-Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction (DDU)-Dehri on Sone-Garhwa Road route.
“The Howrah-Jabalpur Shaktipunj Express (11448) was allowed to pass through Garwah Road-Dehri on Sone-DDU-Prayagraj Chheoki-Katni South route,” he said.
Similarly, the Ahmedabad-Kolkata Express (19413) and Bhopal-Howrah Express (13026) were diverted to Katni-Murwara-Satna-Prayagraj Chheoki-DDU-Dehri on Sone-Garhwa Road.
Meanwhile, commissioner of railway safety (eastern circle-Kolkata) S Moitra will inspect the newly-built track-doubling work on the Mirchadhuri-Karaila Road-Anpara route under the ECR’ Dhanbad division on Thursday.
