PWG activists hiding in Manas village

danapur: the district administration has been put on high alert following secret information that over a dozen hardcore activists of the banned pwg have taken shelter in the `diara' area of danapur. if reports are to be believed, they are hiding in manas village under the akilpur police station. according to sources, ram babu yadav, a pwg activist, was killed recently in an encounter at maushari.his brother, krishna yadav, is a resident of manas village. as such, these pwg activists have taken shelter there to evade the wrath of the police and their arrest as well. according to sources, two mukhiyas, basudeo rai of kasimchak panchayat and laxmi rai of manas panchayat have been on the hit list of the pwg. it is believed that these pwg activists have sneaked into the `diara' area with an ulterior motive. thus, panic and tension grip the `diara' area of danapur which is the assembly constituency of rjd supremo laloo prasad yadav. recently, a clash was averted between the pwg supporters and fishermen in the village on the issue of fishing. according to sources, `panchayat pramukh' of danapur bhagwan rai had died recently. as such an election will be held on january 10 next year to elect the `panchayat pramukh' for which laxmi of manas village is a strong contender for the post. c p singh alias sipio of the same village who is likely to contest the election, is believed to give a tough fight due to his proximity to the pwg activists. the sources said the banned pwg activists have perhaps arrived to prepare the groundwork for the ensuing `pramukh' election.
