PWC & MMC girls shine in basketball, volleyball contests
PATNA: The Patna Women’s College (PWC) team won the basketball trophy while Magadh Mahila College (MMC) emerged the winners in volleyball at the inter-college tournament organized by MMC on Saturday. MMC finished runners-up and Patna Science College (PSC) at third place in basketball. In volleyball, PWC and PSC finished second and third respectively.

Interactive session: Bihar Vidyapeeth chairman Vijoy Prakash talked to the Magadh Mahila College students during an interactive session on entrepreneurship and startup on Saturday. He shared the ideas on products, marketing strategy and processing. The other speakers of the event were Bihar Mahila Udyog Sangh president Usha Jha and entrepreneur Manoj Jha, Mandeep Prakash and Ranjan.
CIMP hosts national meet: Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna hosted the 2nd national conference on ‘Emerging Market Issues’ on its campus on Saturday. Institute director V Mukunda Das said the application of information technology and tools like Big-Data and Data Analytics makes it possible to trace the future emerging markets and reap its rich dividend. Citing demographic and infrastructural variations across villages in terms of population, density, economic prosperity, road connectivity and electricity, Das said because of the unique nature of the emerging markets in Bihar, the challenges are also more and the emerging markets can be tapped with multipronged strategies as all villages are not homogeneous in nature.
Creative management expert Prasad Sundararajan talked about the need for understanding life with a different approach and emphasized on the concepts of ‘Varying and Unvarying’.
Sanjay Dhir from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi delivered the valedictory address wherein about more than a dozen papers from various universities and institutes were presented in two technical sessions.
