Patna: The state education department has finally accorded recognition to the MBA course of Purnea University. This job-oriented course was introduced in the 2019-20 session and its students had been awaiting the government clearance for publication of their examination results.
In a letter to the Purnea University, state higher education director Rekha Kumari said the MBA course has been recognized by the government and the university may now publish the results of examinations conducted for this course.
The university had started the course without obtaining necessary permission from the government.
When the education department came to know about it, the university was stopped from continuing with the course. Hence, the results of the examination of students of the first batch of this course were not being published, said sources.
Now, the university has been allowed to impart the MBA course with a strength of 40 seats in an academic session.
Students admitted to the course more than three sessions back have heaved a sigh of relief as their results would be published now, said university's media in-charge Gauri Kant Jha.
