It seeks to build capacity through ancient wisdom, multidisciplinary learning, and experiential approaches, blending traditional knowledge—such as yoga, Ayurveda, and mathematics—with modern skills to create an ethical and competent workforce, she said.
She added that IKS encourages value-based, experiential learning, reduces stress, and enhances students’ cognitive abilities. It should be embedded in the National Curriculum Framework for both school and higher education, with emphasis on traditional knowledge, Indian languages, and culturally grounded local education.
UGC-nominated observer Kumar Bhatt, who is also the vice-chancellor of Central Sanskrit University, said PU is one of the few universities in the country selected by the UGC to organise this course.
Earlier, MMTTC director Atul Aditya Pandey introduced the theme of the programme. A total of 80 teachers and research scholars are attending the event.
Course coordinator Bhavuk Sharma welcomed the guests, and MMTTC assistant director G B Chand proposed the vote of thanks.
