Patna: Governor-cum-chancellor Syed Ata Hasnain on Thursday asked Patna University (PU) to develop a strong and dedicated information technology (IT) team for the resolution of all its recurring problems.
Reviewing the performance and ongoing activities of the university at Lok Bhawan, in the presence of the vice-chancellor (VC), along with other officials of the university as well as the officials of the chancellor’s secretariat, the chancellor said the university should initiate concrete and practical steps for solving its existing academic and administrative problems.
“The VC of a university is not only an administrator, but also a far-sighted leader endowed with the responsibility of creating a positive, inspiring and cordial atmosphere on the campus,” he said. Hasnain assured the VC of all possible help and cooperation in the resolution of the crisis faced by the university.
At the outset, VC Ajay Kumar Singh presented the details of PU’s academic activities aimed at raising its standards. He detailed all the activities related to reforms in examinations, establishment of national academic depository, academic credit bank, innovation centre and research centres and placement cells. The principals of B N College and Magadh Mahila College also attended the meeting.
