PATNA: The indefinite strike launched by the non-teaching staff of Patna University (PU) continued for the 13th day on Saturday with no sign of rapprochement in sight.
A delegation of the PU Employees' Association met governor-cum-chancellor
Ram Nath Kovind here and submitted to him a memorandum of its demands. The governor assured the delegation that he would call them for detailed discussion soon, said association general secretary Ran Vijay Kumar.
Meanwhile, PU registrar Sudhir Kumar Srivastava has resigned from the post on personal grounds. PU development officer Sanjay Kumar Sinha has temporarily taken over the charge of the registrar. The new incumbent will be appointed on the recommendation of the chancellor.
