Police submit chargesheet in Rocky Yadav case

Patna/Gaya: Police on Monday submitted the chargesheet against Rocky Yadav and three others in connection with the killing of Class XII student Aditya Sachdeva.Aditya was gunned down by suspended JD (U) MLC Manorama Devi's son Rocky for overtaking his vehicle on May 7.
The chargesheet was filed by the case investigating officer (IO) GS Gupta in the court of additional chief judicial magistrate (ACJM) Om Sagar.

All the four accused including the MLC's husband Bindi Yadav have been chargesheeted under different sections of IPC including 302 and the Arms Act.
Besides the main accused Rocky, the chargesheet has been filed against his cousin Teni Yadav, father Bindi and police constable Rajesh Kumar. Constable Rajesh was the bodyguard of Rocky's mother Manorama.
The slain student was coming from Bodh Gaya along with four friends when the incident took place. Earlier, Aditya's friends got their statements recorded with the court. Confirming the submission of chargesheet, Gaya SSP Garima Malik told TOI that a common chargesheet has been filed against all the four accused persons.
Constable Rajesh was the first accused to be arrested by the police, soon after the incident. On May 8, morning Rocky's father Bindi was arrested on the charge of harbouring a murderer and misleading the police. Rocky, gave the police, a run for four days before being arrested from his father's dairy farm near Bodh Gaya. Teni Yadav, later surrendered in the court of the ACJM. All the four accused of the case are currently lodged in the Gaya Central jail.

Along with the chargesheet, police also submitted enclosures including the post-mortem report, inquest, bullet pieces recovered from Aditya's body, the pistol allegedly used in murder and the FSL report etc. The FSL report is said to provide the most clinching evidence against the main accused Rocky.
The FSL report has been submitted under seal but sources say that during lab test, Rocky's pistol matched with the bullet pieces recovered from the slain student's body. In the chargesheet, the police have recorded the sequence of events leading to the road rage killing.
According to Magadh range DIG Saurabh Kumar, the court would be requested to conduct speedy trial of the case. While reviewing the case a few days ago, Zonal IG Naiyyer Hasnain Khan reportedly favoured appointment of a special public prosecutor to ensure conviction of the accused.
