Patna literature festival from February 14

The second three-day Patna Literature Festival (PLF) will begin here from 14 February to host more than forty authors, cultural activists, historians, journalists, artists and cinema personalities including Gulzar , Vikram Seth, Pavan K Varma, Pushpesh Pant, Ashok Vajpayee and Leila Seth.

PATNA: The second three-day Patna Literature Festival (PLF) will begin here from 14 February to host more than forty authors, cultural activists, historians, journalists, artists and cinema personalities including Gulzar , Vikram Seth, Pavan K Varma, Pushpesh Pant, Ashok Vajpayee and Leila Seth.
The three day PLF is being jointly organised department of art, culture and youth affairs, government of Bihar and Navras School of Performing Arts (NSPA), Patna.

The three day fest would be held in the sprawling campus of Patna museum.
Coming from within and neighbouring countries, all these participants are celebrated intellectuals and artists. This festival is organized primarily to encourage and inspire the youth to delve in the world of reading, writing and being further creative and inspired in the field of language and literature.
The festival spread over three days will have approximately twenty five sessions of debates, talks and discussions including documentary film screening. Book stall managed by various publishers and the festival team will sell books of the guest authors along with other books, said the main PLF organiser and a famous city's cardiac surgeon .Ajit Pradhan.
Highlighing the programme of the sessions Pradhan told TOI 'NAMAN' (Inaugural Session) 'Tum abhi the yahin': A tribute to the authors we lost this year- By Ashok Vajpeyi, Kedarnath Singh, Pushpesh Pant, Usha Kiran Khan.
The another session would be on 'Aisa kahe Kabir': (Thus says Kabir) The philosophy of life, writings and relevance of Kabir. On 'Bhojpuri ki antar-rashtriya chhavi' Sarita personalities like Budhoo (Mauritius), Arunesh Neeran are expected to participate.

In Maithili 'Bajte chhi ta harlon kona' (I'm undefeated till I'm vocal)- 'Maithili ka sangharsh'- Usha Kiran Khan, Taranand Viyogi, Rambharos Kapari Bhramar (Nepal) to would participate during the three day fest.
To be the first to arrive at 'Ijlaas': A conversation with Leila Seth 'The Green Poetry: Gulzar in conversation with Pavan K Varma would be one of the highlights of the fest, Pradhan told TOI.
In another session on 'Nostalia in imagined space' writers like Tabish Khair, Vikram Seth would participate.. And more poetry sessions, debates, conversations in Urdu, Hindi, Maithili, Bhojpuri, Magahi and English would also be held.
Last year, the first PLF was organised here. The organiser Navras School of Performing Arts, founded in 2009 has incessantly worked towards reviving the art and culture tradition of Patna with its over sixteen programmes with renowned Indian and international artists. PLF is a scion of the same endeavour, Pradhan said.
The first PLF arrived and carved its niche during its two and a half days' celebration of literature, culture and art over seventeen successful sessions, children's workshop and two cultural evenings in March 2013. The overwhelming response of the literature lovers of Patna and around was the most magnificent marker of the festival's accomplishments.
This year the PLF will be a three days long event which will include debates, talks and discussions on contemporary literature, social issues, culture, art, history, governance and three cultural evenings.
