Patna College felicitates six retired teachers

Speaking as the chief guest of a function to mark the 156th foundation day of the institution, Singh described Patna College as the “brain capital” of the country for imparting quality education to students for several years.

The Patna College alumnus also released as many as 156 balloons of different shades on the occasion. This was followed by a march past by the NCC cadets of the college.

Patna University (PU) vice-chancellor (VC) Rash Bihari Prasad Singh recalled that the first session of the state legislative council was held at Patna College over 100 years ago. He said PU would soon construct a centenary gate with the help of the funds donated by Bashishtha Narain Singh.

Patna College teachers Dharmashila Prasad, S M Ashok Amar Nath Singh, Awadh Kishore Prasad, Kumudini Sinha, Padmalata Thakur and K N Paswan — all of whom retired during the last one year — were felicitated on the occasion. College toppers Nav Jyoti Mishra, Jaya Kumari and

Pratiksha Jha

were also honoured.

also attended the function.

At the outset, Patna College principal Ezaj Ali Arshad welcomed the guests.
