PATNA: State education department additional chief secretary KK Pathak, who is in the limelight after his tussle with his department's minister Chandrashekhar, on Thursday made a surprise visit to a government school in Shastri Nagar locality of the state capital.
Pathak, along with Bihar School Examination Board chairman Anand Kishor, visited Government Boys’ Senior Secondary School in Shastri Nagar area while the assembly was about to end.

As per the school principal Chandradeep Singh Yadav, Pathak was happy with the attendance of students in the school, who were also in proper uniform with identity cards. "He liked the educational environment of our school and presence of students," Yadav told a news channel. He further said all the teachers were present, barring those who were on official leave.
Sources said the officials on visit reviewed the strength of students as well as attendance of teachers in the school, along with inspection of the campus.
Pathak had recently been in the news after his tiff with education department minister Chandrashekhar, which went to such an extent that chief minister Nitish Kumar had to intervene. After his surprise inspection, Pathak was reportedly called at the CM's residence, where Chandrashekhar was also present.
