Pappu Yadav on Tuesday threatened to file a public interest litigation (PIL) petition in the Patna high court demanding Enforcement Directorate probe into the assets of all politicians of Bihar.
Pappu alleged that a large number of politicians of the state have amassed assets disproportionate to their known sources of income.
“I would request the high court to order the Enforcement Directorate to probe into the politicians’ amassed wealth. The probe should be ordered since 1990 so that all politicians, bureaucrats and contractors are exposed,” he said.
Pappu alleged that many RJD workers got ticket by blackmailing party chief Lalu Prasad. “It is surprising that Lalu, who claims to be a leader of the Yadavas in Bihar, is approaching different parties to field upper caste candidates in Raghopur and Mahua so that his sons win the election due to division in upper caste votes,” Pappu alleged.
Over a dozen RJD and JD(U) functionaries, including Araria MLA Zakir Anwar and former minister Shanti Devi joined JAP-L.
