DARBHANGA: RJD supporters from Darbhanga district will have the unique opportunity to witness a mock quawwali show between RJD supremo Lalu Prasad and CM Rabri Devi on the eve of party's maharally on December 23 in Patna. The visitors, to be transported by two special trains from Darbhanga on December 22, hired by the party, will not have to loiter around during their sojourn as they will be put up at Sanjay Gandhi Stadium near Sachivalaya Halt in Patna.The dinner will be followed by a quawwali contest between reno-wned quawaali singers — Ehsan Bharti, in the role of Lalu, and Nasima, in the role of Rabri, junior Union human resources minister Mohd Ali Asraf Fatmi told mediapersons here on Monday. He said two special trains, named as Lalu and Rabri Express, respectively, have been hired by the party to ferry the RJD activists to Patna on December 22. Besides this, the Intercity Express will also be booked to accommodate party workers on the occasion. The trains, accompanied by band parties, will be decorated with flowers, he said. Each and every passenger going to the state capital for attending the Kisan Mazdoor rally will be provided with valid train tickets, the minister claimed. When asked about naming special trains as Lalu and Rabri Express, respectively, in the face of enforcement of model code of conduct by EC, Fatmi shrugged it off, saying: "What is in a name? Moreover, it is written just on the banners and posters. Once we hire something legally for a certain period, it is our property for the stipulated time frame." However, when his attention was drawn towards one such banner fixed on the premises of Darbhanga Junction, the minister said it could be removed if it goes against the spirit of model code of conduct.
