Patna: Controversy, thy name is chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi. Having no qualms about his comment on upper caste people as foreigners and descendants of Aryan race, Manjhi has now questioned the ‘morality’ of those women whose husbands have been working outside the state after marriage for years.
At a function at village Jhajhwa Pakdi under Sindhwalia block in Gopalganj district on Wednesday to lay the foundation stones of projects worth Rs 111 crore, Manjhi said, “Everyone knows what these women do as their husbands remain outside after marriage.” He hoped with the launching of government-sponsored programmes, migration of workers from the villages would stop.His predecessor Nitish Kumar will be at Gopalganj on Friday.
Gopalganj BJP MLA Subhas Singh told TOI over phone, “The CM has assassinated the characters of thousands of women. He is behaving like an abnormal person. He has insulted the women at large. He should avoid taking tips from former chief minister Nitish Kumar as admitted by him three days back.”
