Notorious criminal held in Khagaria

Khagaria: Notorious criminal Bauku Sharma alias Upendra Sharma, a resident of Bari Paiknat village under Pasraha police station, was arrested by Khagaria police on Friday.According to police sources, acting on a tip-off, a police team conducted a raid in the Maheshkhunt Bazar area of Khagaria district and arrested Bauku, who was wanted in connection with at least six criminal cases, including loot and murder.Gogri SDPO Ramesh Kumar said Bauku was the main accused in the murder of Pappu Sharma, a well-off farmer from Raipur village under Bhawanipur police station in Bhagalpur district. He was killed on March 25 this year. "Bauku was carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head," the SDPO said.
