Mokama bypoll: Nitish Kumar not to campaign for Anant Singh’s wife

Deputy chief minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Thursday put an end to the suspense over whether CM Nitish Kumar will campaign for the upcoming bypolls or not, especially in Mokama where Anant Singh’s wife Neelam Devi is in the fray, by stating that the CM has got injured.

PATNA: Deputy chief minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Thursday put an end to the suspense over whether CM Nitish Kumar will campaign for the upcoming bypolls or not, especially in Mokama where Anant Singh’s wife Neelam Devi is in the fray, by stating that the CM has got injured.
When asked by the media whether Nitish will be campaigning in Mokama and Gopalganj, Tejashwi said, “He has got hurt and I have talked to him.

However, he has instructed all the party leaders to campaign for the bypolls.” He further added that JD(U) national president Lalan Singh had already been rigorously campaigning at both the places.
Sources said Nitish was supposed to hold a joint campaign with Tejashwi on November 1, however, his final schedule is not clear.
