"NDA bhi ghoshit kare aur hamare JD(U) bhi ghoshit kare ki wo NDA ke ghoshit CM hain aur unke netritv me sarkar banegi aur phir se vikas ka kaam jari rakhenge (Both the NDA and our JD(U) must announce that Nitish Kumar is the declared CM face of the NDA and the next govt will be formed under his leadership, ensuring that his development work continues as usual)," Nishant told reporters.

Nishant, who appears to be growing politically astute with each passing day, made these remarks while visiting the memorial of his mother, Manju Sinha, to pay tribute on her birth anniversary. He appealed to people to vote for his father in the upcoming assembly elections. "I appeal to everyone to vote for my father as he has carried out development work in the state," he said, urging the electorate to increase JD(U)'s seat tally.

Nishant said despite JD(U) winning only 43 seats in the last assembly elections, his father continued his developmental initiatives. He urged voters to give a stronger mandate to encourage his father to carry forward his work.

Nishant also advised JD(U) workers to visit villages and inform people about the policies and development projects launched by his father over the past 19 years. "The people must know what work he has done and whether he is fit to continue leading the govt," he said. However, he did not respond to questions about his potential entry into politics.

This is the third time in just over a month that Nishant has spoken to the reporters in support of his father and dismissed opposition claims that Nitish is unfit to govern. He denied that his father had any health issues.

Nishant had earlier asserted that his father was "100 per cent fit". Reacting to this Nishant's claim, leader of the opposition in the state assembly, RJD's Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, had said his father and RJD chief Lalu Prasad was "fitter than the CM".
